This is a tough question. Adam was the MVP of both the team and the MVC and was the engine that made the team go. Klayton said during a radio interview after the the last regular season game that the Dogs would not have been much more than a 500 team without Adam. Although it's hard to vote against the league MVP, I'd have to go with Leonard. Josh P. will hopefully be an effective replacement for Adam, although his style is quite a bit different. Templeton should do a good job in replacing Klayton. We have no one who can bring the athleticism of Leonard.

All will be missed, but the breakdown ability of Leonard can't be matched by anyone on the roster. Leonard will be missed.

Wow, surprised by this vote. Not a big sample, obviously, but it is a sample of more intense Drake people. Leonard wasn't even all-MVC. Don't recall lots of people here saying Leonard was the most valuable during the season. Maybe a question of how the question is phrased.

Anyway, doesn't matter. We'll see how this year unfolds. New deal, new surprises.

No doubt Leonard was an athlete, plus with basketball talent, way way beyond what Drake had around for a long long time. More like Leonard at Drake, all good with me.

He wasn't All MVC because he wasn't hyped. Also, the people that vote for those things saw maybe 3 or 4 games.

On the other hand, Emmenecker was MVP because everyone saw him and what he did. It was Magical. Emmenecker Rules. Not sure how anyone could argue otherwise ... Emmenecker was Magical.

Well, based on the results (small sample), it's obvious that many could argue otherwise.

Nobody is diminishing what Adam did last year, but I voted for Leonard. What Adam did was remarkable and unexpected, but Josh Parker and Craig Stanley will, in my opinion, provide good leadership from the point guard position. While they might not be able to everything that Adam did, they will also bring some elements that Adam didn't bring.

I don't feel that Drake has anybody to replace what Leonard brought to the team, in terms of athleticism, and a combination of shooting, ballhandling and defense. Despite not being the "go-to" guy, Leonard was very steady all-season, and seemed to be the guy who always made a big play when Drake needed it. I'm not sure how many people remember, but in the first half of the season, when it was the end of a close game, it was Leonard doing the majority of the ball-handling for Drake.

Not saying Leonard was necessarily the best player or the MVP (although I could argue that), but, in my opinion, he will be the toughest to replace, and therefore the biggest loss.
