| So I am curious. Who different is Phelps' motion offense compared to what Keno ran last year? Is Phelps the type of coach who will stick with his system no matter what, or is his open enough to make adjustments based on the talent at hand? Someone with more basketball knowledge than me has to know.
Also, Jon Miller of KXNO stated a few days ago that without the Davis family around Drake will not be able to beat Iowa at the Knapp this year. Just another I-am-a-huge-Hawkeye-fan-but-I-went-to-another-school loser. In fact, he went to S. Ill. |

As for the offense, you are resurrecting a huge topic of discussion from last April. I think any decent coach tweaks his system to his players. As for the actual Princeton motion, compared to the tweaked flex sets ran by Keanu last year, expect to see more high posts and backdoor cuts, but the floor will still be spread and there will be plenty of threes.

I was part of the discussing last April, and I don't know if my concerns (if that is the correct word) were ever addressed. With the season coming on rather quickly I am starting to wonder once again, and with Butler coming to Drake early I wonder if Drake will be ready.
Does anyone know when practice begins? Has it begun? |

Basketball practice begins on, or around October 15th every year.

I think full team practices start 10/17, with individual workouts going until then. I don't think we're going to get a good feel for what Phelps wants to do until the Butler game, though.
