Re the picture of the floor going in at Shivers, does anyone know what court that is? That can't possibly be a scrimmage court, due to the nearness of the wall behind the basket and the walls on the side. Are the walls movable? I can't see that as any type of playable court. It looks to me like an old community center or a Park District court from the 40s or 50s, the way the backboard brackets are affixed to the wall, etc. What is that/what will it be used for? How many courts are there? Are they all full court? Are they all like the one that appears in the picture? Is the picture deceiving? What's the story? Anyone know or has anyone been inside, yet?

The walls are not movable. There are two courts, both full court. One for the men, one for the women. But, there are multiple baskets along the side, in addition to the basket at either end of the court.

Reading this board and associating it with quality education is sometimes difficult. McBulldog really didn't go to Drake...Did he?
Moving forward.....

Did you ride your feminine pearl and turquoise colored Harley around for 24 hours to come up with that? Not that there is anything wrong with riding around on a feminine Harley.

I know some of you don't like the word "progressive", but I'm thinking the athletic department might get aggressive enough to put some lines down on the floor (for those of you who don't know me, this is sarcasm).
I'm sure when the doors officially open, the word DRAKE, Bulldogs, maybe a logo and some blue paint will be part of the environment. Building a basketball program will take a few years. Completing a practice facility will take one full year. I think President Maxwell said the paint will be dry by the middle of November.
Very exciting! Very appreciative!!

"In addition to the equipment installation, Drake will also receive the custom creation of digital content that will be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services, an award-winning in-house creative team. This content will consist of any mixture of sponsorship messages, crowd prompts, headshots, game opens and venue announcements at the request of the university."
That sounds convenient too!
