Clark was interviewed on the pre-game show tonight. She had some prior damage to the meniscus in her knee. Landed wrong and ended up bone-on-bone. Micro fracture of her femur, with a few bone chips floating about. She is non-weight bearing for 6-16 weeks. Has a long road ahead of her, but doing rehab daily already. Her attitude is great. Wishing her a speedy and full recovery.

According to Garman, she's not pursuing a redshirt and will not play for Drake again

"We thank Kyndal for her on-and-off the court contributions to the success of our program," coach Jennie Baranczyk said. "Kyndal has made a difficult decision, and while we are disappointed, we know she has a bright future. Too bad. Link

It appears only half of the "Will not pursue redshirt, will not play for Drake again" statement was true Clark Joins Nebraska

It appears only half of the "Will not pursue redshirt, will not play for Drake again" statement was true.... Clark Joins Nebraska No surprise. From the beginning, I had a suspicion that she'd be playing somewhere else. If she doesn't want to be at Drake, they're better off without her.

Amy Stephens who originally recruited Clark to Drake is now on staff at Nebraska. She's got her degree and a lot better chance to play in and get a decent cede in the tourney.
I'd loved to see her back at the Knapp next year, but she gave Drake a great couple of years.

Seems like Clark has chosen to retire a few games before the season ends due to pain in both knees.
-------I am a split line -------
I love to flop on the court. Go dogs.

What do you mean she has retired? Is she not playing anymore this year?

Her minutes had dropped dramatically in the past few games. Due to knee pain, she is no longer playing for Nebraska. Really too bad. She went there for a chance to make a run in the NCAA tourney and didn't last the season. She was one of those kids that was a recruiting miss. Had the talent to play in the Big 10, but was overlooked for whatever reason. She took the chance to move up when it came along.
My biggest concern at this point is that her injury was described as a micro fracture of the knee. I've also heard that term used to describe Becca Jonas' injury. I'd never heard of it before Clark and don't know anything about it. I'm hoping this term gets applied rather broadly or that Clark's situation is not typical.

Last time I looked she was averaging a lot of minutes and little else. At Drake she announced that she was done playing basketball, which was clearly a lie, and then transferred.
