| Time for a little update, I guess
Adam is playing great lately. The last few games he's averaging about 22mpg. He's hitting the three pretty good as well, believe or not He is much more comfortable taking shots compared to the beginning of the season. He is 4-of-7 in the last 4 games from 3-point range. Obviously he has been working hard on his shot and it is paying off! Defensively he is still a beast. He is a much better defender than our starting point guard Pascal Roller and every time Adam is on the floor the team is able to step it up on defense.
The team instead is struggling a little bit recently. Having a record of 1-3 the last four games dropping to the sixth place in the standings. They are 4 wins in front of the ninth place (first non-playoff spot) and 2 games in the loss column behind the fourth place which means homecourt advantage in the playoffs. Unfortunately one week ago the team lost in the semifinals of the Top4 Tournament in Hamburg (german cup) to Alba Berlin, who won the cup later. Beating Dusseldorf the day after secured the third place for the team. It was somekind of a bitter sweet moment because the team was confident to win the whole thing.
One reason why it is not running well lately are several injuries the team has suffered. So the team hierarchy is put kind of upside down and in my opinion there is missing the one leader on the court. There are 10 games left in the regular season and the team has to step it up in order to reach one of the first 4 spots in the standings. They are now 15-9. If they are able to get back to their A-game everything is possible, even the championship.
Adam's currrent stats:
http://statistik.basketball-bundesliga.de/bbl/stats/player/index.php?team=426&saison=2008&spieler_id=10999
The next Skyliners' game will be on Sunday 5pm Frankfurt time. Should be 11am for you guys. The game will be televised. If you want to watch the game you should check some of the p2p websites. I'm pretty sure, that there will be some links available for that game. For example:

Btw, it was already posted on the board, but for those of you who don't already know: Adam has his own blog online now:

take care

| Glad to hear he is doing well I heard a rumor he is coming back to play for the Iowa Energy next year. Any truth to that? It would be fun to see him and Leonard Houston play together again!!!!! |

| | Mmmh, that's new to me. I'm pretty sure that Adam is under contract für the upcoming season in Frankfurt. Skyliners director of sports Kamil Novak said in a recent interview that Adam is one of the players who already have a contract for the 09/10 season. |

| Hey All:
Adam has a new post up on his blog. Compares his European experience to former Iowa State player Paul Shirley's (Can I Keep My Jersey?). Also weighs in a bit on Drake's season. Nothing to earth shattering, but basically a keep the faith message.

| dudistance, I've not heard anthing close to even a rumor about Adam coming back to play for the Energy. As far as Leap'n Leo goes, I'm not sure he is even still on the Energy roster.

| Hi everybody,
well, Adam's first pro season is unfortunately over. The Skyliners lost 1-3 in the quarterfinal of the BBL playoffs to Oldenburg, including former college stars like Arizona's Jason Gardner, Georgetown's Boumtje-Boumtje or Missouri's Rickey Paulding. A tough loss obviously, because the team had high ambitions to dig deep in the playoffs but Oldenburg was simply the better team and more experienced.
Adam's main task was to defend Gardner and he did a solid job on that. He averaged about 15mpg in the series.
I'm pretty sure that Adam will wrap up his first playoff expereince in his blog.
Concerning Adam's future, the Skyliners have the contractual option for having him on the 09/10 team again. It's not yet certain if they will take it.
Nonetheless, thank's Adam for a great season and have a nice summer! |

| I want to thank Steven for the updates throughout the year. I was always interested in hearing how Adam was doing.
Of course, congrats to Adam on his first season of professional basketball. I look forward to following his exploits in the future.

| Thanks PubGuy, gern geschehen as we say in Germany (meaning you're welcome/my pleasure)
In the meantime, Adam's future in Frankfurt is getting very doubtful. In a recent interview regarding his future he said: "Frankfurt is a great city, but there are many more great cities to be discoverd..." - very shady ;-)
So unfortunately, chances are that Adam won't return to Frankfurt after the summer.
Nonetheless he's still working out at the skyliners' training facility until the 8th of June. After that all players start into their summer holidays. |

| I always thought "you're welcome" in German was Bitte Schon.

it's actually "Bitte schoen" but the oe or rightly ö is very hard to spell for you guys
If you give somebody something in the first place (like a gift for example), you say "bitte schoen" and if that person says "danke" or "danke schoen" you say "gern geschehen" in return or just "gerne" in order to pronounce that it was a pleasure for you to give that person a gift or to state that you are happy that you could give pleasure to that person.
but actually you can say both
that's the german course for today |
