Double header on November 1 with the men to open the season.

Double header with both men and women playing Iowa on December 20th.

Stand up and Sing!

Here's to the one who wears the "D",
Makes a good fight for Varsity,
Here's to those who've fought and won,
Makes a good fight as a true Drake alum,
Here's to the one who's brave and bold,
Ready to battle like days of old,
Fights like a bulldog for victory!
Oh, here's to the one who wears the "D"!

Interesting question on Iowa/Drake women, with both losing long-term key people. What do you think?

Seems like Mo is gonna have to look to score a lot more. She's certainly capable.

I think there's plenty of scoring on the roster.

When the roster was decimated a couple of years ago Dybing certainly showed she had the ability to score. She seemed to be more of a role player last year. Of course the rest of the Valley also knew she could score so defending her became more of a priority.

Morgan Herrick showed some great potential early last season, but never seemed to come back from her injury. If she had a decent summer and was able to work with team mates and Stephen's system she could be real good.

Turk has great speed and hasn't seen a shot she doesn't like. She was always enthusiastic, if a bit out of control and seemed to be a personality that really meshes w/ Stephens. With her work ethic and an entire off season she could be ready to step up this year.

We've all seen Jordan light things up. She didn't have a great year last year, but she certainly has lots of talent. If she is motivated and really rocking she could be the key.

There is lots of potential on this team. We will see if they can pull it together over the season.

Well said. I agree. Lots of potential there. Winning the tournament in 07 with a lot of these people who will be playing this year would be one indication. Freshmen can make a big difference, too. Will never forget the impact Carla made right away. Not that there's necessarily anybody like that, but ya never know.
