Ilove this quote from your link DUB: "Under the direction of new head coach Mark Phelps, and assistant coach Kareem Richardson, Drake University is making recruiting the state of Illinois a priority."

Move over Hawkeyes; Chicago is now a Bulldog town.

Let Josh Parker play!

I don't doubt that Drake is making the state of Illinois a high priority....unfortunately, the same can be said for virtually every other midwestern college.

Here's a scouting report on Smith from the beginning of his sophomore season.

And as we all know, the best players come from Chicago.

I know you're trying to be a smartass, but your statement is 100% true. There is no city in the country that produces as many D-1 players, year in and year out.

What kind of an attitude is that? The next thing you'll say is you agree that we actually are the "cellar dweller" of the state in '08 and that John Miller is right when he said we're going to lose to the Hawks this year because Tom Davis is not associated with the program. Since Chicago produces so many athletes, some of whom will come to this state to play basketball, why shouldn't they chose Drake? The program's in a lot better shape than Iowa or ISU.

Let Josh Parker play!

I'm not arguing, because I don't know, but do you have some stats showing this, or is it just speculation? If this info exists somewhere I'd be interested in seeing it.
