Another article on the commitment..... linkage
sounds like the basketball sites in the Chicago area have a bit of rivalry going -
"While other self-proclaimed gurus are doing nothing all day except sitting in front of their computers, we are actually in the gym evaluating players (as was the case today at Flash's Fall Hoops Review), otherwise we would have had this commitment even sooner."

Sounds like a prognosticator on this board.

| You have to love this comment on Drake's coaching staff: "Since becoming the head coach at Drake, Mark Phelps has made the Chicago area a huge recruiting priority. Besides Smith, he has also had the Bulldogs involved with several Windy City prospects in the class of 2009 and we expect that to carry over to the classes of 2010 and 2011 as well. Not only that, but a ton of credit must also go to Kareem Richardson, who we consider to be one of the best up-and-coming young assistant coaches in all of college basketball. Richardson recently watched Smith at an open gym at Lake Forest Academy and Phelps offered a scholarship shortly after that. From there, Richardson continued to stay on Smith and was instrumental in helping to close the deal."
Where is WW these days anyway? I want to hear more about how this staff sacks because CD went to Providence.
Let Josh Parker play! |

| Anybody know how Beano is doing with recruiting? I'll wager not as well as our boy Phelps.

| I just checked. Beano has filled two of six schollies with guards. One guard had an offer from Western Michigan, the other guard apparently had no other offers but interest from Miami and Rutgers along with some lower majors. Looks like he's recruiting down from the heights of his conference. I'll take Phelps.

He also has a commitment from a 6-8 guy....according to Rivals.com, the 6-8 guy also had offers from UMass and Nebraska.
So far, Keno isn't beating out any of the "big guys" for recruits.

| From what I've heard he has never recruited in any way, shape, or form .. at Drake or SEMO. Chris Davis and Rodell are doing the recruting while the lottery winner is building an Erector Set in his office. It would be really cool if Coach Seagal & Co. could land Simons or another stud biscuit big man. |

Maybe he'll get some walkons that will work out.

| Mecha_Bulldog (10/1/2008) There's a local blurb on his commitment. What's a caxy?
Here's a link to the answer.
