| Hello Drake fans,
I am bigsalukifan - a regular on the Salukis' board (SalukiTalk) and I run my own website and blog - http://gosalukis.webs.com/
I joined this board to provide you guys links to blog posts that relate to Drake. I am currently starting a series of MVC rankings. The first one is ranking the coaching staffs.

What I can say is that you have one sweet site for your fans. Nice work!

Thanks for reading! The site has gone over well and I just wish it was more profitable. Does Drake have anything like it?

Well my site has its own message board but its not as popular as SalukiTalk. The blogs and videos are what keeps the site going.
The reason I ask is that I was considering start some other similar sites for other league teams and I was wondering if Drake fans were interested. I would run and operate the site but rely on those in the know to blog and feed me news. I would also need help finacially from Drake fans/businesses to get the thing off the ground.

Great site, very classy. As far as the coaching rankings go, it looks to me like you've ranked the coaches based as much on where you think the teams will finish as on the coaches themselves.
I thought you were overly harsh on Lowery and too soft on Les. McKenna is in a difficult situation at InSU, but I still see some good coaching going on there. Coaches that have been with the team for only two years or less are too hard to grade, although I agree with you about the great job Jankovich has done.
Apart from personal opinion, I'm having a hard time seeing what standards you are using to assess the coaches. Based on two years in the Valley only, and from where the teams were when the coaches started, I don't see how you can possibly put Marshall at 5, ahead of Simmons at 7. Also, all of the criteria you used to elevate Martin to 8, you used to demote Phelps to 9. I would put both of those one-year coaches dead last and say too soon to tell.
I would suggest you provide objective criteria in addition to personal impressions.

I also hope you're serious about the fan site. I'd be willing to help with info and such. You know, spending days watching basketball in STL I definitely got closest to the Salukis. WSU fans are also good. Other than that, the fans are too into their own team to care about anyone else.

I am serious about a fansite. I just need a staff of 3-4 bloggers that could provide new blog entries once a week or so. I can provide blogs about the MVC as a whole but would need help with Drake-specific entries. I also need direction on businesses that can sponsor to cover hosting and matience fees.
