This is a good story on Wiseler, how he came to Drake, and what his role will be this year ("I'll probably back up Craig," he said). This is noteworthy because the Register finally realized he's on the roster. This is a big thumb in the eye of anyone on this board:
Wiseler went largely unnoticed when he enrolled at Drake.
Just because you didn't notice doesn't mean we didn't notice.

| You're right....the fans noticed, but it was the media that didn't.
It's nice that they had an article, but it wasn't very well written.......here's a sentence from the article:
When it came to choosing a school, Wiseler sought advice from his father, Claude, a member of the Luxembourg parliament.
I thought it might then explain what that advice was, or what it was about Drake that made him pick the school. But, nope, just that one sentence with no followup whatsoever. It's almost like the sentence was there just to mention that his father was in the parliament.
I did find the last section interesting:
"He'll have a big role, because he's another true point guard," Stanley said. "The way we're going to play this year, up and down and fast, you can't have just one point guard."
Hmmmm....up and down and fast. I hope that really happens, although I'm not sure if the Bulldogs have the ideal personnel for that style of play.

I saw the same thing. They definitely have the personnel to run -- get the bigs up and down the middle of the floor. The question I have is whether the 1s will get the ball to them. Watching AE this summer reminds me of how well he delivers the ball early in transition. Didn't see anything remotely close to that last year.
Tomorrow has arrived and the sun is up. |
