No longer shows up on the web site roster (for any year). Is this a web site issue (possibly since Claire Januz still shows up, though Katie Dewitt doesn't) or is she gone?

Kaniesha is now shown on the previous years' rosters, but is still not listed on the current season roster.

From Ron Maly's blog:

Among those missing once the players appeared to be interviewed near the basketball court was Kaniesha Agee of Kansas City, who played in 30 games and started 13 last season for Drake. She is no longer on the team. Her exit from the team apparently was mutually agreed upon by Agee and the coaching staff.

Doesn't really explain what happened to her, but it does confirm that she is gone.

She let her attitude get in the way of team basketball.

I can't speak for her attitude, but given her shooting ability or lack thereof, she was probably going to see even less playing time this season.

Slightly off-topic, but could her high school coaches have done a better job of developing her shooting skills?
To reach Division I and still not be able to make a lay-up seems like a shame.

I'm not real familiar with her game, but if she can't make a lay-up, why did Drake offer her a scholarship?

Good question.
She played on a state champion team and was a leader in assists.
That works in High School, but not Division I.
Her 2008-2009 field goal percentage - 23%, free throw percentage 25%.
That shooting often allowed teams to play 5 on 4 and basically not even guard her.

In her defense, I always felt she played hard and handled the ball well.
Just couldn't shoot.

To be fair she could make a layup, but her range wasn't much more than 8 feet from the basket. I'd guess she scored most of her points in HS off the dribble and just out quicked whomever was guarding her. She had long arms and very good quickness so she played real tough D.

Seems to me we are a little shallow at the 1. With only a sophomore who missed most of her freshman season with an ACL injury (though the bit we saw of her was very good) and a true freshman. Maybe Amber W could be pressed into service, but she's really a 2. Jordan can handle the 1, but she prefers to play 2 and it often shows in her attitude on the court when she has to play the 1 spot.

If everyone stays healthy, Agee wouldn't have seen many minutes this year. That said, I can't remember a year when everyone stayed healthy. It just doesn't happen.

Agee has transferred to Fort Hays State, a D2 school in Kansas. She has one year of eligibility left.
