| Kody Ingle
Apparently this kid is a really good shooter, but Drake is not interested in him. Anyone know why? I have not actually seen him play.
He's related to the former Drake quarterback, Cole Ingle, so we should have an in.

Drake doesn't need another shooting guard....already have plenty of those. Are any D-1 schools recruiting him? (it probably says in the article you linked to, but I can't seem to open the article for some reason).
Edit: Looks like there were errors in both of your links...I fixed it.

| Mr Ingle has been on many school's radars. I do not know much about the young man other than he is a heck of an Iowa high school basketball player. That said, and not knowing much about Kody ... being a great high school player doesn't always translate to D1 greatness. Luke Feddersen, the head hancho of IowaPreps.com (part of Rivals), has Kody Ingle ranked as the 2nd in his vote for Mr. Basketball this year. I assume that means if Barnes were not from Iowa, Feddersen would have Ingle ranked first. Maybe Drake would take him if they wanted another guard ... who knows?

| I think if Kody was 6-5 or 6-6 we'd have interest, but I'm not sure we have any need for a 6-3 guard at this point. I guess if he were even 6-8 or 6-9, we might have interest.
He might be a great kid, but we need help on the low block.

| If you're looking for another in, remember that his coach at SEP is a former Bulldog, B.J. Windhorst.
I've heard he has not drawn much interest other than a couple of "lower" D-1 offers. Possibly Western Illinois? |

| | Not a knock on the kid as like McBull has said he is a heck of an Iowa high school players, but he only has basically two low d-1 offers, I believe both Summit conference schools. We have plenty of shooters, we need some toughness & inside strength along w/somebody that can coach rebounding! |

Ingle will walk on at Iowa State. He probably has a pretty good shot at earning a scholarship by default his freshman year.

| I wish he was a Bulldog. You wait and see ... this is the kind of kid that will be a success out of shear gut and determination. Blue collar stud bisuit .... mark my words ... April 15, 2010, 10:56 pm.

| cody is intriguing.
heck of a scorer.
may end up being a Hurl Beechem, who knows.
One of those that may have slipped through the cracks, but who do we not take?
Jeffers. Jeremy is so versatile, we've got to take a steal like him.
Just not enough to go around.
Hopefully Phelps has put us in a position where we no longer have to take risks on kids, and hope that even though we were their only D-1 offer, that they can play (someday!)
Can't wait til the summer league. I'm going to drive down for a couple of those.

| How do you compare 6'6" Jeffers to Ingle? Probably closer to Rice or Madison (in theory.) A walk on offer from a team with 7 open scholarships would not get me that excited. I think I'd go elsewhere.

| | Iowa State is in more need of players than we are! They might have a hard time finding 5 players to be on the floor next year. Again, not knocking the kid, but he had 2 low d-1 offers. I like our recruits better. Just because he is a Des Moines area kid doesn't mean we should offer him a scholly. Good luck to him at Iowa State. He will need it . They have thrown away more talent over the last 5 years than any other team in D-1. |

| Big Bull is becoming a little too intellectual for this board. He needs to learn to keep the faith.
