Their game with Arizona was close until mid-first half. Then it got ugly.

I know NMSU used to be in the Valley and that was a good rivalry but I can't get out of my mind playing NMSU in Allen Fieldhouse in 1970 to go to the Final Four for the second year in a row. Big Sam Lacy. What a stud. Kind of a Wayman Tisdale type. They also wore those longs sleeved jerseys like Evansville used to.
Fun times at "the Phog".

Saturday's game will be very tough....

Big Sam Lacy.

Growing up as a Kings fan, I developed a flawless imitation of Lacey's free throw shot.

Their 7'5" center, Sim Bhullar, isn't as dominant as his size would suggest. Here is linkage to his season stats. He is good for 3 blocks per game, but his slow-speed takes him out of much of the game. I've watched him play twice, and his greatest asset is that he gums-up the lane when he is able to get set on defense. He has never taken more than 7 shots per game. If Drake pushes the tempo, he won't be the decisive factor.

Upon review of the stat sheets, their 6'2" guard, Daniel Mullings, is their best player.

Grandpa Hawley passed away Weds night. The family has encouraged Aaron to stay and play Sat. Night and I think he will. Grandpa Hawley was a very supportive grandparent. His grandchildren were very active in sports in several colleges and Juco. They made it a point to get to as many games as possible. One of their Grandkids Josiah Hawley was a finalist on the NBC VOICE show last year. He was funny and had a real good knowledge of basketball. I personally met him 4 years ago when he was sitting next to us at an early game.

I'm anxious to see what exactly a 7'5" 360 lbs person looks like in person.

CBS SPORTS/RICKS

30 minutes a game, 45% from 3, 50%FG, 89%FT, 4-1 A-TO, and solid defense:
Big shoes to fill! However, lots of talent and character on this team. Looking forward to see who will take a big step forward and seize the minutes/moment.

For the out of towners or those without Bulldog (Blue?) Vision, the game is listed on FIRSTROWSPORTS for streaming tonight.

Was going to read and post the DSM Register preview to the game before heading to the Knapp. I did not see one online. Maybe I'm missing it or maybe the register forgot we were playing tonight.

Sorry to hear of Grandpa Hawley's passing, I sat by him at several games. He and his wife enjoyed basketball and watching the Bulldogs.

Maybe it is better not to see this. 16 - 5. Carter with all our points.

Yeah, reading "miss jumper" and "turnover" over and over again isn't the best either. Maybe one of those games you just check on every once in a while.
